It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Singing in Falkland Square in Poole raising money for #forestholmehospice

The festivities have begun! ☃️ Sound of Soul have kicked off the festive gig season with some exciting events already and cannot wait for more to come this month! So far the choir have sang in Falkland Square in Poole raising money for Forest Holme Hospice, performed at a private Christmas function in Blandford and provided songs for the beautiful Light Up a Life Remembrance service for Forest Holme Hospice.

Sound of Soul concert at the Bournemouth West Cliff Hotel

We had a fabulous time at our concert at the Bournemouth West Cliff Hotel. Our first inside gig in nearly 2 years! Thanks so much to everyone who came and for donating so generously to our raffle for Hope for Food. We’re delighted to announce that we raised a whopping £300 for the charity! We converted this into a fantastic stash of dry food, tins and toiletries which we’ve delivered to their warehouse to be distributed to the homeless and people in need. 💚

Rise Up!

So excited to share the first real run through of our new song Rise Up! The wonderful Lilli Badcock has taught Sound of Soul her amazing arrangement in just 2 rehearsals and we LOVE it! Enjoy 💚🎶💚

Here comes the sun

This summer Sound of Soul have absolutely loved being able to perform outdoors again in the beautiful summer sunshine! Take a look at some of our highlights from Bournemouth Summer Live, and Christchurch Summer in The Square.

Sing to Raise with Diverse Abilities

Saturday 25th May 2019 saw Sound of Soul take part in Sing to Raise for Diverse Abilities. This was a month of fundraising for a local, but amazing charity, Sound of Soul took part in the final day of events; a day of performances from various choirs and music groups from the local area.
We had an absolutely amazing afternoon and it was the perfect bank holiday weather.

Here is some feedback:

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all of you for helping make the weekend such a success. I hope it went really well for you. You may have seen that I have emailed out an opportunity for you to offer feedback. I am thrilled with how it went! The weather helped of course, but there was a great audience and a really positive feel to the day. Please pass on my sincere thanks to all choir members and colleagues who helped make the day possible. I am so so grateful.

Bournemouth Emerging Arts Fringe

On May 7th 2019, we hosted an open evening for the Bournemouth Emerging Arts Fringe. We had 30 choir members along with 30 others who turned up for the event. We learnt a whole new song together. Some of those who turned up had never sang in a choir before but all loved it. From this event we also gained a few new members! We will definitely be hosting more of these in the near future!
